Tampa Ultrasound Specialist
Gabriela Molina, RDMS
AB · OB · BR — Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
As the owner and lead sonographer, I built Tampa Ultrasound Specialist for the community — because I know firsthand how language barriers, lack of insurance, and weeks-long wait times can stand between a patient and the imaging they need. I hold three ARDMS credentials and trained in a hospital-based high-risk OB imaging department. Every scan I perform — elective or diagnostic — is carried out with the same precision, care, and clinical standards I was trained to uphold. Every diagnostic study is also reviewed by a contracted board-certified radiologist, with your signed report faxed to your provider within 24 hours.
Credentials
Three ARDMS Credentials — What They Mean
The ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) is the national credentialing body for sonographers — the same credentials required at hospital imaging departments. Most elective ultrasound studios in Tampa are not operated by ARDMS-credentialed sonographers. Gabriela holds three.
ARDMS — AB
Abdomen & Small Parts
Credentialed to perform liver, gallbladder, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, aorta, thyroid, breast, and small parts imaging. This credential covers the full range of abdominal diagnostic studies.
ARDMS — OB
OB/GYN
Credentialed in obstetric and gynecologic sonography — from first-trimester dating scans to anatomy surveys, biophysical profiles, pelvic imaging, and fertility monitoring throughout the full pregnancy range.
ARDMS — BR
Breast
Credentialed in breast and small parts sonography following ACR BI-RADS Atlas 5th Edition standards. Breast studies are reported using the same BI-RADS classification system used at hospital imaging centers.
What This Means For You
Hospital-Level Training. Boutique Experience.
Every scan performed by a credentialed expert
Gabriela performs every single scan personally — diagnostic and elective. You are never handed off to an uncredentialed assistant.
Every diagnostic study read by a radiologist
A contracted board-certified radiologist interprets every diagnostic study. Signed reports are faxed to your provider within 24 hours. You leave with your own printed copy.
Trained on the most complex cases
Gabriela's background is in hospital-based high-risk OB imaging — the environment where the most complex pregnancy cases are managed. Routine scans are straightforward when you've trained at that level.
Your whole experience in Spanish if you prefer
Scheduling, the scan, your results, and follow-up — all fully bilingual. No translator. No miscommunication. Just clear, compassionate care in your language. Se habla español.
ALARA and patient safety always followed
All ultrasound sessions follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles for acoustic output — the same safety standards required at hospital imaging centers.
Open 7 days — appointments that fit your life
Open Monday through Sunday, 8am to 8pm. Same-day and next-day appointments are routinely available — no 2–6 week hospital scheduling queue.
My Journey in Healthcare
I began my career with a degree in Radiologic Technology and earned my ARRT license — but I quickly realized my true calling was working more closely with patients, being present for the moments that matter most to them. That passion led me back to school for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, where I earned multiple ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and Small Parts, OB/GYN, and Breast sonography.
This training wasn't just about passing exams. It was about ensuring that every patient in front of me receives the highest standard of care in a safe, professional environment. I went on to work in hospital-based imaging, specializing in high-risk OB — managing complex cases, collaborating with physicians, and learning what real clinical precision looks like under pressure.
When I left my hospital position in March 2026 to open Tampa Ultrasound Specialist full-time, I brought everything I learned with me. As a proud Latina healthcare professional, I also know firsthand how language barriers and the cost of healthcare can push families away from the imaging they need. My mission is simple: make expert ultrasound care accessible, affordable, and available in the language you feel most comfortable in.
Whether you are coming in for a diagnostic study ordered by your doctor or a keepsake session to see your baby's face — you will receive the same level of care, the same clinical precision, and the same warmth. That is the standard I hold myself to every single day.
